Guangdong Province embedded software public center (Guangdong meitai technology Co., Ltd) is funded by Guangdong Midea Holding Co., Ltd and Guangdong provincial government, aimed to be the new technology, new products research and development industrialization base. Our business includes information-oriented appliances, car electronics, digitalized machine tools, mobile communications, and embedding field of IT industry. Midea Holding Co., Ltd is one of the large-scale household appliances produce and export company in China at present. The amount of sales income was 45.6 billion in 2005. The center is commended and enrolled as “Guangdong meitai technolog y Co., Ltd ” By the provincial government. Under the principle of “Trans form large economic province to powerful economic province ”, together with the strategy "technology innovation and improvement of core competitive strength”, the Guangdong government has a very strong interest in the development and operation of our company and provisioned our company politically and financially.

Based on the strong innovation and research power, GEC has established itself reputation in IT and embedded system industry. We established strategic partner relationship with global industrial leaders such as Microsoft, Intel, IBM and SUN, and have many co-operated research labs with these partners. Now we have on going projects like: in-order startup IMP, Automobile faulty detection, RFID, environmental monitoring and planning to commercialize such projects.

The center official acreage is 1,300 square meters. We have advanced and self-contained software and hardware resources, and topping technology service circumstance. The center has evaluating authentication laboratory, information wiring laboratory, automobile electron laboratory, numerical control machine tool laboratory, colligation investigation lobby, and the center training room and so on. All of these have advanced; perfect embedded evaluating, exploitation and training circumstances. The center also cooperate with INTEL, IBM and so on to have set up INTEL embedded technology unite laboratory, INTEL embedded technology training center, IBM embedded technology unite laboratory, IBM embedded technology training center. This can make industrialization cooperate and so as to realize the development of technology potency.
